What should we know before starting homecare?
You don’t need to have it all figured out—we’ll guide you. During your intake call, we’ll learn about your loved one’s needs, preferences, and routines. From there, we design a care plan and match you with the right caregiver to make homecare feel seamless from day one.
What happens if there’s an emergency once care begins?
Emergencies are rare—but we’re ready. Our caregivers are trained to respond immediately and follow a clear protocol, including contacting family and emergency services, then looping in your care manager. We stay by your loved one’s side and update you every step of the way.
How do I know if homecare is the right fit?
If your loved one needs help with daily tasks—or you’re feeling overwhelmed as a family caregiver—homecare can bring relief and stability. We’re here to help you decide, with no pressure. We’ll walk you through the options and only move forward when it feels right for your family.
How does funding for homecare work?
We know funding can be confusing. We’ll help you understand your options—from private pay to government programs. If you qualify for public support, we’ll coordinate care alongside Alberta Health Services. If you’re paying privately, we’ll build a plan that fits your budget and priorities.
How quickly can care start?
In many cases, we can begin care within a few days. After a short intake call, we’ll match you with a caregiver and develop a care plan. We move quickly—but we also take the time to make sure it’s the right fit.
How do you keep my loved one safe?
Every care plan is built with safety at its core. That includes caregiver training, regular check-ins from our team, and protocols for things like medication, mobility, and emergency response. You’ll always know what’s happening—and that your loved one is in good hands.
How do I apply to be a caregiver?
We keep the process simple. Fill out our quick application form, and if it looks like a fit, we’ll schedule a short interview to learn more about you. We’re always looking for compassionate, reliable people to join the team.
What should I know before I start?
We’ll guide you every step of the way. Before your first shift, you’ll go through onboarding that covers expectations, care standards, and communication tools like Sling. You’ll never be sent into a shift unprepared.
